1. How do I download the Quick Cars app?
The app is available on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Just search for “Quick Cars York Taxis” and install.
2. Do I need to create an account to use the app?
Yes, creating an account allows you to book faster, save addresses, and track rides easily.
3. Is my personal data safe on the app?
Yes, we use secure encryption and GDPR-compliant data handling to protect your information.
4. Can I change my personal details in the app?
Yes, go to the Profile section to update your name, email and phone number.
5. What should I do if I forget my password?
Use the “Forgot Password” option on the login screen to reset it via email or SMS.
Booking a Ride
6. How do I book a taxi using the app?
Open the app, set your pickup and drop-off locations, choose a vehicle, and confirm your booking.
7. Can I pre-book a ride for later?
Yes, the app allows advanced bookings. Choose your time and date before confirming your ride.
8. Can I book multiple rides at once?
Yes, you can only book one active ASAP ride per account, but you can prebook journeys for later and see their status in your app.
9. How can I track my driver?
After booking, you’ll see live tracking of your driver’s location, estimated arrival time, and vehicle details.
10. Can I contact my driver?
Yes, once your booking is confirmed, you can call or message your driver directly using the details available in the app.
Payments & Pricing
11. What payment methods are accepted in the app?
You can pay using credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cash (where available).
12. Can I see the price before booking?
Yes, the app shows a fixed price based on your journey distance and time.
13. Is there a cancellation fee?
If you cancel after the driver is en route, a cancellation fee may apply.
14. Can I save my payment method?
Card details are not saved on our system. We use Stripe as our payment platform that allows customers to use a range of options securely – Link Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Card Payments etc.
15. Can I request a receipt for my ride?
Yes, digital receipts are sent via email and available in your app booking history.
Features & Options
16. Can I choose the type of vehicle?
Yes, choose from available options like Budget, Comfort, or 7-8 seater vehicles, Wheelchair Accesible and Pet Friendly.
17. Is real-time tracking available?
Absolutely. You can track your driver in real time and get live arrival updates.
18. Can I rate my driver?
Yes, after each ride, you’ll be prompted to rate and review your driver.
19. Does the app support voucher codes or discounts?
Yes, from time to time we offer voucher codes. Enter them in the Apply Voucher section.
Support & Help
20. What should I do if I left something in the taxi?
Go to the Contact Us section and use the details available to notify support.
21. What if my driver is late or doesn’t show up?
You can contact the driver or rebook another ride via the app. For issues, contact Quick Cars support.
22. Can I change my drop-off location mid-trip?
Not by using our app. For this you would have to ask your driver and pay the difference directly to him/her.
